  • I go here at least once a week for necessities, and have been for like... ever. For certain things, you won't find a better price (except perhaps in the dregs of Chinatown, which I limit my contact with). Need a loaf of bread? $2. Tub of Margarine? $1.20. Uncle Ray's chips? 2 for $2.50. Can of pop? 75c. You simply don't beat prices like that anywhere close. If you need to save money, here's the place to go. If you compare this with prices across the street... your decision is simple. Don't even get me started on how friendly some of the staff are. I've only ever been treated with kindness and courtesy there, and they're exceptionally attentive when it comes to bagging your groceries for you. Plus, they take credit and debit, and are kind enough not to have a minimum purchase limit. The final thing I love about this store is the nostalgia. Walking in is like going back to Toronto in the 80s or 90s... it's kind of like Honest Ed's without the manic desperation. Conclusively, I highly recommend you go in and browse around. There's gotta be something you need there, or just enjoy the lazy experience.
