  • This is for the Airport Advantage Rent-a-car. I reserved a car for my boss, a senior citizen and the nicest guy you could ever meet, who has excellent credit, a huge net worth, and every platinum credit card on the planet. The worst! They run a insurance scam. The rate was ok but they insisted he show proof of insurance. He has 20 cars, all insured but didn't have proof of insurance with he? They wanted to add $30 a day to the contract which would have been an additional $120. Every other rental car agency just requires that a box be checked verifying you have insurance. Also any of his credit cards covered the insurance minimum requirements. To top it off the counter people were very rude. He ended up going to Thrifty Rent-a-car and getting the same deal without the hassle. His credit card benifit automatically covered the insurance.
