I'm a first time home buyer and just had a 1935 property inspected by Steve and Rick Andersen of NPI. The two were EXTREMELY helpful and patient with my simple and uneducated questions. The duo were very knowledgeable about older homes and made me feel secure in their inspection which revealed the bad, the good, and the just- plain-ugly.
They spent time answering my, my father's and my realtor's questions; and toured the property with us several times offering helpful suggestions for fixes as well as approximate quotes in regard to said fixes based on what they have seen in the industry.
The final report is roughly 54 pages and you can download a sample one from their website which really impressed me when I was shopping around for quotes. If buying an older home, or heck even a newer one, I highly recommend Steve and Ricky. They were professional, thorough, and understanding.
My realtor recommended this company, and he specializes in historic homes, so I went in trusting them and I'm glad I did. I really am extremely satisfied with the inspection and will likely be calling upon them in the future for (hopefully) my next home inspection.
