Today I hit up Andrews BBQ for the brisket. Disappointed again! The brisket was properly cooked, decent flavor, but was appeared dry and tasted dry. The cornbread was excellent, but served cold. Hot would have earned another star, in spite of the dry brisket. The Green Chile Mac was tasty, but had sat so long it was mushy. For the 25 I spent for two lunch specials, I walked away feeling like I did not get my money's worth. I'll try it again in a pinch, but still consider Rudy's to be the top spot in the East Valley, with Famous Dave's coming in at number two.
This is my fourth attempt at Andrews.
