  • So...it didn't live up to the hype for me. First, they couldn't get me an evening appointment for 3 weeks! I ended up taking some time off of work as I was desperate to get my nails done at such a reputable salon. I was taken for my appointment as soon as I walked in. The technician never introduced herself, so I'm unsure of who was working on my fill. I told her I was open to a different shape than what I currently had. She suggested coffin. This is where things took a turn. I ended up with cuts in my nail beds from a sharp file and repeated filing in the same spot. I informed her that it hurt and the file was sharp. She switched to a new file and continued on the same nails. At this point I should have just asked her to stop, but against my better judgement she continued to apply my gel polish. It was applied a good amount away from the cuticle...leaving me looking like my nails had a weeks worth of regrowth.
