  • What a disappointment! Treatment awful. Came all the way from Northern California. Our Phoenix hosts were very excited to treat us to dinner at a Jamaican restaurant. He left work, picked up his 5 year old and met his wife and us, his out of town guests at the restaurant. We were wondering if they would have food for the 5 year old who has some food allergies and would have understood if they did not. What we did not understand was the treatment we got when we inquired. We were told the Chef does not adjust any recipes. Okay fine. But we weren't prepared when the help was joined by what appeared to be owner and/or manager who proceeded to say they are an "adult restaurant" and they seldom get kids in the restaurant in a very condescending manner. I was shocked at the tone and could not believe it. What about service? What about a nice welcome, wish we could accommodate you but. We were a party of 4 adults. The Dad was willing to take his 5 year old and feed him elsewhere but the cold and callous way we were treated make that place not worthy of one star. Just my opinion. Definitely don't take kids to their "adult" restaurant and don't ask for any deviation from the cooking of the menu. Per the help, the Chef will NOT make changes to his menu.
