| - 100%, NO B.S., I had THE MOST phenomenal experience at Wax Trax on #RSD2018! I could not stand to miss out on the 20% off the entire store RSD sale and I came early and was first one through the door!
Upon my arrival, Mr. Rosen said "Jason, you see those records over there?" I could not miss 'em, as there were like a thousand or so in multiple large stacks! Of course, I'm like, "Oh hell yes!" Mr. Rosen said "Go ahead and go through those, and anything you find is $5.00 each"
So I'm all in, knee deep in a seriously immaculate and well cared for collection, and as I'm going through 'em, I asked, "Dang where did all these come from?" The reason I asked was because EVERYTHING was VG++, EX to NM (still in shrink), including gold lettered promos, (not notched/cutouts)or MINT SEALED. Literally everything from the 60s, 70s and 80s, from classic rock to pop.
Mr. Rosen stated the albums were from a recent purchase from a radio announcer. I brought to his attention an EX Black Sabbath Paranoid, green label no less, and I asked "You do realize this is in here?"
I'm no swindler and I treat people how I want to be treated so I handed it to him knowing it would be wrong of me, as generous as he was already being, to actually hold him to that $5.00 each, especially for that particular album. He even asked, "Are you sure?" and stated, "Satisfied repeat customers is why I'm in business." When someone has always treated you right only a real a-hole would take advantage of a situation like that.
So after several hours of perusing, I brought everything I wanted to the counter and Mr. Rosen said, "You do realize I just gave you the deal of the century?" DAMN RIGHT I knew it and of course I am GENUINELY GRATEFUL for that TRULY AMAZING deal! NEVER BEFORE had I got a deal like that from any record shop!
Talk about being at the right place at the right time! I left with a stack of records, almost more than I could carry, including 14 MINT SEALED classic rock albums and I can honestly say, I feel a tad guilty, because I checked 'em all out on Discogs as soon as I got home and every U.S. seller with MINT Copies were all minimum $35.00 to over $100.00 for each and every copy I bought for FIVE FRIGGIN' BUCKS EACH.
Bottom line is this, it has been my consistent experience, that Mr. Rich Rosen KNOWS how to take care of his customers! That is a FACT and that is EXACTLY why I keep coming back! YOU should check Wax Trax out for yourself and maybe you too can hit the friggin' JACKPOT! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WAX TRAX RECORDS!!!
