Charlotte finally got its first bar-cade. Cut to a shot of the Triangle saying, what took you guys so long?
Abari Game Bar requires a membership card. Before you freak out, it's not a big deal at all. By law, every place that serves booze and doesn't do a certain amount in food sales is supposed to be doing this. Sigh. North Carolina, you just don't make anything easy in this state. Anyways, it's a buck. Don't complain about it.
This place is packed with arcade games, pinball machines, a full bar, and a cool living room area with good ole gaming consoles like Nintendos. I learned my Mario Kart skills are pretty rusty. There's a massive Killer Queen game that's super popular. I've never played, but seeing all the people gathering around it made me want to be involved.
There are drink stands next to the games, so you have a place to put your adult bevvie. There's change machine at the front. You can also ask the bartenders for quarters and they can add it to you tab.
Huge thanks to Zach for taking the chance and finally giving us a barcade here. I love seeing all the support and wish you guys the best of luck. I'll be back in to practice my pinball skills. Apparently I've lost those somewhere along the last 20 years.
