  • My go-to place for ice cream in Oakland. Granted, it isn't the best ice cream I've had in the 'burgh (that goes to Klavon's), but it is certainly worth the price that you are paying up-front. The ice cream is made fresh on site daily. My favorite flavors here tend to be Thai Ice Tea (when they have it; it sells out rather quickly though) and the cookies & cream. I'm not the biggest fan of frozen yogurt/sorbet although there is a section for that here, too. You can get your treat either in a cup or cone. My recommendation is to get the waffle cone, as it's not only crunchy but also made fresh on-site, crunchy, and it goes really well with the ice cream. For those that don't know, it is cash-only so be sure to bring your greenbacks. There's an ATM inside if you do forget (although it's not bank-specific so you'll definitely get charged a fee to withdraw from it; just save yourself the trouble and remember to bring cash).
