| - Anton, the manager is completely unprofessional, rude and product knowledge eludes him. When asked, :what's in your sangria?" he stared at me blankly for about a minute and then answered with, "I don't understand your question". He was asked again and his answer was "white or red wine". lol Anyone who's ever had Sangria knows that it's up to the bartender/establishment to decide what juice/soda/wine/fruit goes into the recipe.
I let Anton know that I need a minute to think about it. Then another server, Natalie came to take our order. I asked her the same question and she was very professional, friendly and informative. She was able to list all the ingredients in both red/white sangria, down to the fruit. We ordered from her. Antoine re-approached our table and said in an unpleasant tone, "Have you figured it out yet?". It was rude. I vented my frustration with Anton's behaviour to Natalie and even though it wasn't her doing, she apologized on his behalf.
It's not my first rodeo at JH. In fact, I've been a regular patron for years. Besides Natalie, there have been other servers over the years that are professional, informative, friendly and understand how to manage and relate to people; essential skills when working in hospitality. Unfortunately, it's not the first time Anton's behaved unprofessionally and rude. Over the years, it seems that he's become even more unpleasant and acts as if he loathes his job/people.
I seriously hope the owners will consider promoting Natalie. High praises for her customer service skills, product knowledge, friendly professionalism and excellent service. She could easily teach others how to create a great experience for the customers, not just serve.
I also hope the owners will consider this review and take the appropriate action in regards to Anton's behaviour and not allow this to continue with other guests of JH.
We won't be back anytime soon.
