  • What can I say? The first time I came here was back in 2001 and I have come back every year since and in recent years, I've been staying here 2 to 3 times a year when I'm in Vegas. I really like the atmosphere here with all the young people and the loud music after 9pm. It's definitely changed over the years with the addition of the two new towers and the added casino floor under the HRH tower. The expansion took away from the coziness of the place where 1000s of people used to just be packed into the center bar and casino area. I was just there this past weekend and it seemed slower than usual but there was still a good mix of people in the casino and the pool. Speaking of the pool, it's the main reason I like staying at the Hard Rock - it's like being at the beach but when you're done, you can go inside, get food, and gamble... As far as the hotel itself goes, it seems like the Hard Rock focuses on their two new towers (Paradise and HRH) and not really up-keeping the casino tower rooms. I got a pool view room in the casino tower on the 10th floor this past weekend and the air conditioner didn't function properly. At times, it would pump out hot air even though the thermostat said 65F and when we turned it off, the air kept going. I've stayed in the Paradise tower in the past and it was nice but I still go back to the casino tower because of the French doors. Not too many hotels allow you to open up your windows, let alone doors, to take in what Vegas has to offer. Our friend stayed in the HRH tower in a corner suite with a city and pool view on the 10th floor and it was definitely nice. The bathroom was huge and the L-couch was a nice touch to lounge around and drink before hitting the casino for the night. Overall, I still enjoy the Hard Rock and keep on coming back, especially since I have a player's card with them and they send me great deals every three months to get me back to Sin City...
