First of all, let me assure you that we actually ate our dinner here (7/4/11) last night. Yelp doesn't allow us to check-in online because the map shows the wrong location!!! It's at the SW corner of Guadalupe & Alma School in case you are wondering.
The reason I'm so inclined to write this review so quickly is to warn people about this place. The wife and her stomach has been suffering badly (if you know what I mean) since last night. She has to miss work today because of that.
We ordered 3 dishes: seafood combination, deep fried special tofu and Peking style pork chop. We narrowed the culprit to be in the $16 seafood dish - which is actually a quick stir fry of seafood (scallops, shrimp, fish, mussels, green peppers, onions) in a spicy black bean sauce. The menu item description includes a lobster tail but it's nowhere to be found. Bottomline: it has to be a case of bad mussels on shells since she was the only one who ate them in our party of 3.
I hope this helps out anyone who is maybe thinking of trying this place. Or you can just head out instead to Aloha Kitchen around the corner for some good Hawaiian food.
Count this one to experience.
