  • November 11, 2017 Saturday - 8:45 AM for breakfast 4 Adults Atmosphere - 2 stars Food - 2 stars Service - 2 stars Background - Visiting family that is staying at the Flamingo and this was the place they picked for breakfast. Amazing how few places were actually open at this time. Atmosphere - Outdated. Plain and simple this place needs an overhaul. The food was easy to get to, so that was a good thing. Food Drinks - The weekend "brunch" comes with bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's. I had the Bloody Mary's. Served in a small cheap plastic cup filled to the top with ice, maybe an 8 ounce cup. No garnishes. I could not feel the alcohol in my drink. My wife did say her mimosas was heavy on the booze. I also had black coffee. Both were left empty during most of the meal. "Brunch" - This was my breakfast for the day, well it later turned into lunch too. So it was really brunch. That was not my plan. Not a single item stood out for me. As my father in law said the pastries are cold like they just took them out of the freezer, which I agree with. I was really wanted the pastries to be good. The French toast was soggy and bland. The gravy for the biscuits was bland with no sausage in it. I was able to pull a couple of slices of bacon from the heap of molded bacon slab. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that heap of a mess. The sausage links they had were large and in a casings, again bland. They did have a carving station but nothing caught my eye. They do a have a cereal station, perhaps that is for the little kids that a picky eaters. Service - Slow. Thanks for the free meal for my father in law on veteran's day. He served in the US Air Force proudly! Future - I hope not.
