  • Had a terrific experience with these folks! First, I had gone to another service but the machine was so small to me it was a 'coffin' and I am not particularly claustrophobic but didn't even get half way in before saying, nope, not gonna do this!! Put a search in for 'open mri phoenix' and this was one of the places that came up. Called on a Tuesday and they gave me an appointment for Friday EXCEPT I was supposed to be back at my doctor with the images on Friday so they were super nice and worked me into the schedule on Thursday. The reception lady was efficient and surprise, surprise only had 2 sheets of paper to fill out (and actually one was just my signature!). Very nice reception area but wasn't there long as they took me in within a few minutes of my arrival.The MRI was explained to me and I got to sit down in a 'chair' within the machine but it was completely open in front of me AND she also leaned it back about 20 degrees so it was very comfortable and then gave me pillows to put behind my head and one for my lap to put my arms on. Then she asked me what TV show I would like to watch and I chose Seinfield (there was a TV directly in front of the MRI machine). She said when the episode was over, the MRI would be done and a few minutes after the show ended, I was done. I asked how long it would take to get the report and images and the answer was 24-48 hours. I mentioned my doctor's appt. the following day so they gave me a cd before I left to take to him and when I called about the report about an hour before my appt. they had already faxed the report that morning!!! You tell me, could it have gone any better!!
