  • How do you review a hospice? It is not a place anyone really looks forward to going to. However, considering this is a place people reside in their final moments, the jobs at a hospice, are not to be compared with your normal 9-5. These people are true angels, here to make everything as peaceful and comfortable as possible, for all parties involved. This will not be a long drawn out review. I don't really want to go into detail about my personal experience. I will say, my father was transported from St Rose ICU, to this facility real late on a Friday night/Saturday morning. The following Saturday, a week later, he passed. The week of waiting, is pretty much hell. But the nurses, doctors, social workers, administrative team, and everyone in between were so helpful and genuine. Even if we called 5 times a day, with the same questions. It was a very diverse group of people. Everyone made you feel welcomed or at ease. They made it clear there was no right or wrong, and simply just respected my family and our wishes. After my dad's passing, I got follow up calls about classes or support groups, for free. They care. They truly have everyone's best interest. They do not judge their patients on past issues, they just want to help. If anyone is in the situation of searching for a hospice. Do yourself a favor and look here. You will know that you chose the right place.
