  • HORRIBLE! ! Stop overloading the clinical teams and hold them accountable. Stop hiring lousy unqualified doctors/RN's to treat patient for the short term. It is like a revolving door of case workers,doctors,clinical staff, there is no familiarity of patients. I have fallen through the cracks over the past 10 years because I have been too mentally ill to stand up for myself and be a persistent squeaky wheel. They just wear you down into the ground so you grovel around for bits and pieces of anything you can get. I have disliked every case manager that I have had. There was only one doctor that I have liked over the past 10 years. She saw me a few times and once again there were budget cuts and they dumped too many cases on her and she lost touch with the mission. Patients are just managed. They are files that no one reads. No one stays long enough to get to know the patients and what their needs are. Then, we are expected to figure out what our treatment should be? How does a mental patient know how to treat himself? Just like a medical doctor asking a patient to figure out how to heal their illness! Then there are only so many counseling services that work with partners and full a lot of the time so they are not available when needed. Waiting lists. Lazy case managers. The only time I would hear from a lot of my case managers is when they needed something signed by me for their records to keep them out of trouble and in a job! They would complain to me about the lousy services. And I am supposed to feel good about their help. If I could afford to go anywhere else, I would in a heartbeat. I am trapped by them throwing out the addictive prescription medications. It makes me HAVE to keep going back to the people that have failed me. The times I have spoke up the clinical teams would all get together and say that I was being uncooperative to cover their errors up! Sure. Blame it on the patient. Part of my mental illness is now due to the crappy treatment that I have gotten through partners in recovery! Feeling like just another name in their system that they have to do a bunch of paperwork on all the time. They have sometimes stabilized me on medications. Some doctors say I am on too many medications and need to go to counseling that they can't provide! Then others doctors just add medications that they think will substitute for a broken system. If I have problems they WILL NOT band together to help me. BUT if I do, they will band together to NOT HELP ME. My diagnoses is NOT paranoid. It is just how the system works. I really don't know how this system helps people with mental conditions when we are nothing more than a herd of cattle that PIR drives around from one place to another. A lot of times I come home from my mandatory appointments with the people I don't trust, only to be more depressed when I get there. I shouldn't have to feel that way about a place that is supposed to help me with my happiness. They have become part of my problems. It is so frustrating. I wonder how many screw ups they have to cover up on a daily bases? Hey, mentally ill people are just crazy. Or off their meds. Is sucks that I have to depend on these incompetent people. I will never get better until I actually have a say in my treatment and not have to deal with the POLICY RULES OF A BUREAUCRATIC ORGANIZATION. Too many rules and not enough content,educated staff be successful with treating the mentally ill patients as human beings! Let the competent patients have a say in who stays and who goes. Surveys to keep the staff on their toes. The staff is not being held accountable for the way they handle their patients! If this was a private psychiatric office, this would not be happening. No way would they be in business. The private sector can't get away with what the big mismanaged corporations can sweep under the rug! This is the service you get when you are on ACCESS
