  • Love the location. Finally it's something close to me, walking distance and a newly renovated one, unlike the location at Spadina. Open til 12am. No parking, catered mostly to pedestrians and the people who live upstairs. But whoever designed the layout should be fired. It's awfully narrow and long. If there was someone restocking (and they tend to just leave their stuff in the aisle, you're basically stuck). There's even an aisle that has a HUGE column in the middle ofit! And you can't even get around it. You'll have to reach your hand through if you're small enough to get the product behind it. Maybe there was a reason they stocked it with maxi pads. And trying to find your way around is a little hard. The products are placed in such a way that doesn't make much sense (I guess due to space constraints) as all the cleaning products are in the middle of my shampoos. The best laid out area is the beauty section, then I felt it was a mess afterwards. Dry shampoos, there are so many to choose from, and basically unless you've tried or read reviews you wouldn't know what to buy. They did carry a lot of brands I haven't seen before, but then again, I haven't really shopped for a dry shampoo before. I asked one of the ladies that worked there if she'd tried them, and she says yes, so I asked her recommendation. Going to the area, she didn't even know where they were located, and it seemed like I knew it better than her! Then she told me she's never tried them before, and she was so unknowledgeable about the products, it really bothered me that she pretends. The only useful thing she told me was that the most expensive bottle there, was the most popular. Maybe it's true, I don't know. But she had no idea which brands carried what, and pretended to know everything. I mean, I can read the bottles, and I don't need you to read it to me. If you don't know anything specific, just tell me and go away!! Friendly yes, annoying yes. Anywhoo, I digress. If you know exactly what you're looking for here, it's a convenient pick up, but you might have to wander around the super narrow aisles to find it. Looking forward to the new Starbucks opening around the corner. Also beware of falling glass (although they are fixing that now)
