Their clam chowder is the standout winner here! On its own the chowder gets 5 stars.
The fish and chips were well portioned for the price. The cod was flaky but lacked any real flavor. The bread crust was light but couldn't hold up when given a spritz of vinegar for flavor. The crab cakes were also a generous portion but were only OK. The meals get 4 stars.
I know the place is called "fish market" and they have a fish counter, but I don't think the entire place needs to smell of slightly off fish odor. That was off-putting.
Service was just OK. We asked for recommendations but nothing was suggested with any energy. We were looked after but there really wasn't much effort beyond that. Perhaps they were short people. I don't know.
Between the less-than-welcoming-aroma and the just-OK service it nets down to 3 stars for me.
I would definitely come back. And, I do think the place is worth a go. For me, I would get the biggest portion of the chowder and call it quits after that. Served in a bread bowl, it's definitely a big enough serving to call it a lunch.
