| - Desiree owner of Sleek Remedies, advertised a condo for rent, I applied and Desiree requested I pay 3 months rent in advance and more all for the deposit. I was desperate to find a place, my lease was ending on the 31st, I only had a couple of days. I didin't know that AZ statute codes don't allow deposits to be greater than 1 & 1/2 months cost of the rent. So I signed a lease August 29, 2017, then Desiree told me she couldn't give me a copy she would do that later. An hour later Sam Reader, her father contacted me by email to have me sign the contract lease, my response was that I already signed the lease with Sleek Remedies early that day, but I never received a response. Numerous addendums followed by Sleek Remedies and I don't know how many different lease contracts were allegedly signed by me electronically, I couldn't open the attached lease or the numerous addendums. Adobe would tell me I had to be invited or couldn't open the documents. The lease was changed from not paying utilities to suddenly paying gas, electric, water, and sewer and financial changes were made too.
Legally and in good faith, Sleek Remedies should have specified whether each item in the original contract replaces a current item in the contract, changes one, or is a new item. The original contract should have been modified with the text in bold added to the Item and the text containing a strike through deleted just to highlight and clarify additions, deletions, and modifications. They should have attached the original contract to the addendum and reference the fact this was done in the addendum to ensure that any party executing the addendum is clear as to which specific contract the addendum modifies. I had no idea what changes were made as I couldn't open the contract, I couldn't get internet service to stay online because there was already internet and phone service at that condo. People came in the condo when I wasn't home I only found out when they locked the deadbolt which I can't-do because I'm physically disabled. Chemo destroyed my bone density and I had three broken fingers that don't have the strength to lock or unlock that deadbolt, Sleek Remedies blew this off like it was nothing but continued sending texts, calls, voicemails, and emails telling me to get the electric in my name or I was going to be evicted, fearing they were going to evict me, days after I already paid $5,025 I fled. I would never do business with Sleek Remedies again and was lucky to get any money back from the $5,025 I originally paid.
