  • There are two (2) Starbucks at T.I. (Treasure Island). The First is outside the front lobby of TI on the strip, and the 2nd one is inside TI across from Kahunaville. Both, it appears, are TI owned, so the only thing Starbuckish about these two are the coffee and the "brand" otherwise, it's a TI coffee shop, in line with their F&B policies, i.e., stick it to the consumer. We had a 2 day vacating experience at TI in Mid March 2014. As TI does not provide Coffee Makers in the room, to much of a convenience to the customer, and can't necessarily charge for it, we headed down to Starbucks thinking, hey, it's Starbucks, there's a standard we can live with, though a bit bougie... (boo gee). We asked for a refill coffee, i.e., bring your own cup, and a Hot Chocolate..."...we don't do that here..." in a gruff voice, reminiscent of Ron White and the "Take off your hat..." bouncer. I replied, "Fine, I just want a coffee in my mug, not the Starbucks cup..." Again, with the "we don't do that here..." Upon whence, I replied... "Look, I realize you may or may not like the patrons whom frequent your establishment, that's fine, I just want a coffee, in my refillable cup, so as to make a minute impression upon unnecessary waste in the basket..." That seemed to throw gruff barista for a loop, at which time, his colleague handed us the coffee and hot chocolate, a discussion I realized was all for naught. I poured the coffee, out of the Starbucks cup, and into my thermos, then promptly discarded the cup into the trash bin, as Starbucks and/or TI doesn't offer a recycle bin. Tried again the next day, at the Starbucks inside the TI. Sadly, same response, different barista. There's got to be a better way TI and Starbucks.
