  • Caution before renting from Briarlane. Tenant of about 10 years. The Good: Rent isn't horrible for the 5 Capri Road area I guess. The apartments are large. The Bad: - Rent increases yearly. Sometimes over and above the allowed rates (we actually had to get the tribunal involved recently and lawyers about ridiculous rent increases). - Briarlane is a horrible company to work with directly. I had an extra parking spot on a month-to-month plan that I cancelled, stopped paying for and received a notice of eviction if I didn't pay for the unused parking spot I cancelled two months previous. - My fridge has been broken inside and leaking. After multiple repairs (and the inside still cracked and broken) it has not been replaced (five years and counting). - Apartment maintenance is non-existent - Office staff is horrible. It's useless to call. No one there understands the request over the phone and immediately asks for an email. Most requests you "have to come into the office" for which is only open Monday to Friday: 9am - 5pm (good luck to those of you who work!) Plus the feedback from other Yelp reviews is 100% spot on.
