Expansive selection of alcohol but little to no concern for customer service! I went into Total Wine thinking they'd definitely be more helpful than another local shop that wasn't, I wish that were the case. I walked into a bunch of employees chatting with each other and acknowledging me with a stare but not one person said hello. Then I walked down the main aisle with not one person asking me if they can help me find anything. It was my first time in the store and given the selection, I imagine anyone would be open to some help. I also noticed the employees were awfully young. I imagine they have to be 21 to work at the establishment but I can't imagine they were much older than that considering that they had trouble answering basic questions.
I went in to inquire about wines they recommend to use for mulled wine and an team member didn't know, no problem, he went to go ask his manager in another area who must have explained a book to him because it took him super long to return but he didn't even have anything for me. I thought it would've been more professional for the manager to come out and explain. The employee went on to struggle answering a couple other questions and I ended up going with something that was recommended to me at the other store! Can you say fail? I saved a couple cents, that was my only win.
I appreciate the selection and prices, deals but this store could move mountains if only their employees represented them well. More education, more engagement, more excitement. This store is really so close to the strip, they could do so much more for their clientele!
