I visited Acacia. The director of nursing came out to see my mom. She told me that she needed to discuss with the nursing director if they could accept my mom. I got a call that everything was a go and that she was accepted. I talked to the admission director the night before her scheduled move. Transportation was arranged to bring her between 1 and 2 pm. I went to Acacia that morning to bring sheets and all my mom's bedding so her bed could be ready when she arrived. I was told the admissions director had taken the day off. Three administrators/ nursing directors took me in a small office and told me they could no longer take my mom. It was 3 hours before she was supposed to be transferred to her "new home". I never got a call from the admissions director after that. I Do Not recommend Acacia. I was told that Hospice of the Valley was involved in her not going there. Corruption.
