Typically I do not take the time to write reviews but feel compelled to do so regarding the audacity of this facility. My father was needing to be transferred to a long term facility due to not progressing after his stroke. A representative came out to the facility he was at and promised him and the social worker that he was a great fit for the program and that they would approve him. My father was hopeful with the kind words and promises given. Only for me to receive a call from the social worker at his current facility that Shea Parc is unwilling to accept him because he "may" have an outburst and they do not want to upset the older patients. My father has never had an outburst at his current facility. He is a 59 year old man who had two massive strokes and will never walk again. How is that a threat? Shame on this company for going into my fathers room without my permission as POA and giving him the promise you would accept him only to turn around and deny him. This man has very little to look forward to as the rest of his life will consist of living in bed and never walking again. I will never recommend this facility for any loved one to go to.
