I called Journey Electric on Mon 11/6/17 to give
me an estimate on installing 3 ceiling fans in my
home. I mentioned at the time that I had found them
through homeadvisor.com. Kirk, the owner came to my house that
afternoon and spent about an hour doing an
inspection to provide an accurate estimate.
I was so impressed by his professionalism and
demeanor that I decided to give the job to Journey
and contacted them on Tue 11/7/17 to schedule the
work.
During this call, I mentioned to Janet (his wife)
that I had found them through Homeadvisor.com and
asked if they would apply the $50 coupon they
offered on their Homeadvisor.com profile page.
($50 off work over $300. My estimate was for
$438).
Her response was that the coupon was for $50 off
over $500. That the coupon was on their company website
and that they don't use Homeadvisor.com anymore.
( I printed out the coupon with date/time stamp
after this conversation. The coupon has since been
removed from the Homeadvisor website.)
Additionally, she said she would have to have a
meeting with their electricians ??? before she
could schedule an installation date and she would
call me back with a day and time.
Today is Mon 11/13/17.A week has passed and I
have yet to hear back from Journey with an
installation date. They have my phone# and email,
the only excuse I can come up with is that they
are dodging the $50 off coupon. I guess we are
required to notify them of the coupon first so
they can adjust their estimate upward accordingly.
Even if they were to offer installation for free
I wouldn't use them due to the lack of
integrity shown and my concerns that they would
show up with a disrespectful attitude and the work
would be sub-standard.
