  • I have been shopping at this particular Smith's for the past 26 years, and I have seen it go from good to really bad. I was just shopping for some particular items just yesterday, but ran into these problems; #1 Gallon jugs of white Vinigar - Isle 7 contains some condiments, Salad Dressing etc, but after not being able to locate any, I asked for help... "Oh, that's on isle 3". Ok, while I'm asking, what about Battieris? "That's on isle 10"... Ok, I'm on my way over to isle 3 to get the Vinigar. Since I'm going that way, I'll stop and get another item that I get every week, and that is "Blueberry Greek Yogurt 80," but there's non on the shelf. Once again, I ask for help from a lady working in the cooler, and she took her time in looking for it, but when she did return, she told me "We're discontinuing that product in the 4-item container!" I asked her about the vanilla and strawberry, which were plentiful on the shelf, and she then said "oh, only the Blueberry"... Only in this store, or all of them? "No, only this store"... Okay, since I'm already close to isle 10, where the batteries are supposed to be, I look down the isle, don't see the within visual range, then looked at the signs hanging over each isle, that sort of tell where items are located within the respective isle. I'm standing directly under the only sign on that isle that says "Batteries" but they are no where to be seen. Now, I'm getting really mad, but figure I'll ask on my way back from the pharmacy area. I stop at the closest registry to the pharmacy area, and wait for one person (an elderly woman) to finish, as not to interrupt her while she was talking. About that time, the bag boy finished with this lady's bags, and walked in my direction. I stopped him, and started to ask him something when the cashier interrupted me to tell me "sorry sir we're closed!" I said, well, I don't care if you're closed or not, I just wanted to know something... The cashier seemed so snotty, so I directed my attention to the bag boy and asked "where do you keep 'CLR'?" He was startled, so I asked him if he knew where it was, and he shook his head in a negative manner, so I looked at the cashier, because I was close enough to her that I know that she heard me ask the bag boy, and she gave me the ugliest look, grabbed her things, didn't say a thing, but rather stomped off like an 8 year old girl throwing a temper-tantrum. Now, I'm really pissed, and told the bag boy all the way to the cashier that finally checked me out, that I was very angry with the way that Smith's has changed, in that you just can't find things anymore. The cashier was very agreeing with me and told me "yeah, it seems like they're moving things all around!" Needless to say, I am done with this Smith's, and maybe all Smith's! They are truley a disaster, the bag boys don't know anything, much less know how to bag! Smith's just hires kids to work, because they know they are a dime a dozen, won't train them and the cashiers, even for the most part are good, some of them are so arrogant and know that they can't be fired because of thier Unions Collective Barganning Clause. Their respective managers don't have the balls to notate problems, because they are non-Union, and Corporate can move them around, or even fire them, and they know it. Sort of sounds like the IRS and the problems they're having, huh? I'M DONE, NO MORE SHOPPING AT SMITH'S!
