  • Well thats it. My beloved Safeway has lost me. It's 9:15pm and the 5 people in line ahead of me means I won't get home for a pretty long time. Albertsons buying Safeway is the worst possible thing that could have happened to this once amazing store. Customer service was great, lines were never out of control and even if there was an evening rush at least they could get thru it. These new employees are slow and don't care. Tonight a kid backed up a cart for about 5 minutes to get it straight. The manager on duty walked by me 9 times and never emptied a box from his flat cart. "Three's a crowd is a joke". I have been there 10 times and heard Three's a Crowd over the intercom just to see no one open up a new register. Nobody cares! tonight for the first time ever I set my basket of groceries on the Belt next to me and I walked out. I can't believe my favorite store has come to this. I haven't seen my favorite employee Mike either. If he's gone what's the point??? I literally used to shop at Safeway every day because I am not a very smart man and don't make lists. I guess now I have to make a list and drive to Fry's because Safeway just isn't cutting it for me anymore. So sad that my only a mile away store that I used to love so much has gone to hell!
