This review has been a long time coming and I want future patrons to think very carefully about coming to this clinic.
If you care and love your pet, please find another clinic!!
My dog had abnormal swelling in her front paw and we took her in to see Dr Caplan at the Annex Animal Hospital. After a couple of examinations and multiple x-rays he determined that our dog (Russia) had a form of cancer and that the best course of action was to amputate. When we asked if a biopsy should be done the response was 'Why wouldn't I biopsy after we amputated?'
We left grief stricken with the thought of our dog going through the last part of her life with an amputation and cancer to deal with.
We decided to take the x-rays to the VEC for a second view and they quickly determined that it was merely a dislocation of the first toe. We where then contacted by Annex Hospital and were warned that the x-rays were not our property and to immediately return them to the clinic. No concern for the animal at all!
I have nothing against the front of house staff as they were always pleasant.
