A friend made a reservation for four of us last night. I was the first to arrive for my party, was greeted kindly by the hostess and was seated in a booth in the back right away. Muddy Waters was busy on a Sunday evening but wasn't loud. Everyone at the table was happy with their orders. I ordered the po boy sandwich and got half shrimp and half oysters - one half was all shrimp and the other was all oysters. The po boy was tasty though could have used more kick and the order came with fries which were seasoned well though some were soft. My friends really loved their orders: gumbo, bbq shrimp grits and fried green tomatoes. Food seemed to come out a little slower than we had wanted however our waiter was kind and checked in on us periodically. I am so happy there is an oyster bar finally in Pittsburgh and Muddy Waters is priced reasonably that I will be back again. One thing we had thought of was that Muddy Waters should team up with the other businesses for valet as there is only street parking and nearby garages.
