  • I had dinner here a few weeks back for the first time! I have heard a lot of hype about this place and finally decided to check it out. It was a weekday night, so not very crowded and we got seated right away. We had an attentive waiter and he answered most of my questions to my satisfaction, but the menu is very long and so I cannot blame him for not knowing everything on it! I was definitely in the mood for sushi, so ordered two specialty rolls. Not having been here before, at first glance I thought the prices for the fusion rolls were on the higher end, but the rolls are fairly substantial. I couldn't finish both of the rolls I ordered that night. I wanted to have a glass of red wine, so I asked the waiter for his suggestions for a pinot noir and decided to go with the one he suggested. I was highly disappointed with the quality of the wine, and in retrospect probably should have sent it back, but oh well. Overall, though, my experience was pleasant and the food was very tasty. It's definitely not a place I would frequent often but definitely a place I will return, since the menu has quite a lot of delicious sounding dishes! Pros: Nice service, cute decor and not too noisy (at least on a weeknight) so you can have a conversation with the people at your table and the sushi was really tasty! Cons: I think the sushi prices are a little higher than expected especially the speciality rolls, compared to other sushi places I go to, and the quality of the sushi is wonderful but not beyond other good sushi restaurants for the price point. The pinot noir the waiter recommended was mediocre, and maybe that was just an isolated incidence. I may just stick to beer or cocktails when I go there next time. Lastly, the menu is HUGE and extensive, hence, making it somewhat daunting to read through, especially the build your own sushi section. I would have loved to have built my own roll, but that page is not easy to maneuver through and since I am NO sushi making expert, I was hoping to rely on my waiter, but was not able to really help guide me through that particular page.
