So here's the thing...they have some stylists that are incredibly talented and some that couldn't care less. The salon itself is pretty clean. Some warnings before I get into my full experience: prepare to have a neck or back ache from their hair washing station and hair drying station. Both are definitely not designed for comfort but what they had space for. Now into my experience. I called and the receptionist was very well mannered and asked around on who had availability for me. Pang was chosen for me and we scheduled the appointment. I texted Pang telling her what I wanted and showing her pictures of my hair at the time. I showed up 5
or so minutes early and she took me very quickly. She began to talk to me further about what I wanted. I explained I wanted copper/caramel colors. She went to get the dye for my roots and took quite some time. I'm 25 and have quite a bit of gray coming in and she made sure to let me know that. After the roots she mixed up some bleach. Stopping multiple times during the process to check on the other client she had under the dryer. Pang did apologize for this and continued to throughout, but if you book an appointment in my eyes you should be paying attention to your one client. She had the assistant brush out the previous client and myself as well. While I was under the dryer, Pang took another client who had a dance that night. After being rinsed, brushed and toned by the assistant I was then sat in a chair waiting for her to be done with the dance client for 15-20 minutes. Pang then wasn't satisfied with the color and we went back to the sink to tone some more. She then cut my hair, which is the only real change to my look. What I wanted-- I didn't get. When we finally checked out I had been there for over 3 hours and Pang told me that she gave me a discount for waiting. $245 for cutting off a couple inches, bleaching my hair to make it look no different and then having me sit there waiting for a stylist. Price had NEVER been discussed by Pang and that alone to me is a strike. I won't be returning. My one and only visit was October 24th. To be fair, I haven't contacted Viva or Pang as I do not want a refund (I signed the bill) or to be touched again by her. I just want to warn other clients. I could see great stylists in there that are probably worth what I paid, Pang however wasn't.
