The Vig doesn't take reservations for less than a party of 8. I was told that 6:30 is a good time to arrive on a Saturday night since they don't get busy until later. We arrived at 6:40 and there were a lot of empty tables however, they were all reserved for parties arriving later that evening. The hostess was quite rude and told us if we wanted to have a table for 4 we would need to leave at 8 pm. I can't believe that they would "kick us out" with about one hour to dine on a Saturday night with friends. The Vig Uptown has been a go-to restaurant that we have introduced many friends to and I was embarrassed that we recommended this to friends and then told we would have one hour to eat then would need to leave. Historically, the service and food have been wonderful but based on this experience, I will never return to this establishment. Very disappointed to say the least.
