  • Ooohhh...Ahhh-ahh (monkey) Grrrrrr (lion) Sssskkkkk (snake) *beating drums in the background Everyone made their best animal jungle sound ever....that plus rowdiness due to imbibing on strong fruity drinks could've almost been an invitation to get kicked out but we were sedated once the food came... Only in Vegas, baby So here we were at the Rainforest Café in Las Vegas MGM. Not my first choice since we had our own in the Bay Area? I love my girls but my choices come slim when a group of 5 chicks want to do everything on a 3 day weekend so we ended up at the Rainforest. As much as I'd like to dismiss chain restaurants...I give props to Rainforest Café for their appetizers that we tried: Rainforest Pita Quesadillas Coastal Calamari Leaping Lizard lettuce wraps Lava Nachos Caribbean shrimp My favorite, Leaping Lizard Lettuce wraps, were pleasant to the taste. Lettuce wraps were fresh, crunchy & the sautéed chopped chicken was well-seasoned. The names on the menu items definitely set the funny jungle theme ...an attraction for the kids but not so much for the adults. Definitely, not the place for a romantic date or a business lunch meeting. Otherwise, it's a good place to grub on some food & acting a fool with those jungle sounds. I should've brought my blowdarts & spear....Ooo Ooo A...A-ahhh
