| - This place pretty much lives up to its reputation as far as it being Doggie Disneyland(Rosie and I visited the active field) other than a few things I've noticed:
1. The field was MUDDY. I understand they irrigiate to keep the grass nice, but there were some big dirt/mud patches. Rosie and I didn't mind at all, I just don't understand why it is overlooked here, but other dog parks get AWFUL reviews for having the same problem. Double standards, people... not cool!
2. Management could provide shade around the fountain areas. Not a necessity, just an idea considering the fountains get REALLY hot after sitting in the sun all day, making the water quite warm too.
3. The maintenance times are pretty ridiculous. Does the park really have to be closed twice a week from 8am-noon? I like to take Rosie in the mornings typically because it's cooler, but I'm not rolling out of bed at 6am when the park opens to take her. They should make the times a bit more reasonable. And really, what takes FOUR hours, TWICE a week to maintain/fix in the park?
Now that I've finished my mini- rant I will say that there are always dogs here, which is good because Rosie loves to socialize. The grounds are clean and well kept (which they should be considering they're spending 8 hours A WEEK maintaining it. Okay I'll quit complaining about that, but it seriously bugs me). And the dog owners are friendly and always keep on eye on their furry friends.
