Shameful representation of a Starwood Property!!! Aside from the proximity to Sloan Park, this place has nothing going for it. Here's why you should avoid this place and stay anywhere else in Mesa or the surrounding area:
1) rooms are tiny. A "suite" just means they have added a 4 foot wall to divide a room that isn't any bigger.
2) staff is poorly trained and you can literally stand and watch the only front desk person talk on the phone for 15 minutes while waiting to check in
3) the pool is overrun by a bunch of people that aren't staying at the hotel. We watched them sneak in everyday and nobody from the hotel checks to ensure only guests are using it
4) the restaurant/bar seems nice but it is so understaffed that you need to almost set yourself on fire to get attention from any of the people that work there
5) if you plan on checking in during Spring Training while the Cubs are playing, plan on waiting until 5 pm to get into your room no matter what your SPG status is. Status is of no importance at this hotel
This is a new property that is clearly understaffed and literally has a "help wanted" sign out front. Until they get their act together, stay somewhere else. Very disappointing.
