  • My family went to dinner at New South last night for my parents' anniversary. The atmosphere was nice - the dimmed lighting set a relaxed tone. The food was generally pretty good. I had a small plate, the daily flatbread, which was good, but more filling than I expected. I also had the macaroni and cheese as a side dish, which was very tasty. The biscuits were excellent. Also, we enjoyed the half price wine by the glass last night (Sunday). I gave this restaurant four stars, because our waitress was slow in refilling our drinks and some of the grilled vegetables served with entrees could have used another minute or two cooking.
