I am the best friend of Ashley's older brother (the girl that runs this shelter), have known her since she was a young child, and am rather appalled by the negative reviews. I wasn't there so I won't really comment on their experiences but I've watched Ashley sacrifice all of her time and days off taking care of dogs, pouring her heart out to find fosters in her friend networks, and overall try to keep these animals from being euthanized elsewhere.
She is such a kind-hearted person that she ends up personally keeping and loving the dogs that never find a home. That is an overwhelming amount of compassion. She puts herself secondary every time in regards to taking care of animals and keeping them alive.
I have adopted a dog from her with no issues and watched over animals a couple times. I'm not experienced with this stuff but I can genuinely vouch for her immense compassion for these animals, time and money spent healing sickened dogs that arrive, and her outstanding character as a person and friend. I've never met anyone else that has sacrificed so much for animals well-being.
I have to imagine that there is more to the story with the other reviews. She's not one to just 'cut ties' without reason and she doesn't have financial issues. It might just be me and the 'lingo' used but I can barely comprehend the writing behind the other reviews.
