| - As a vegetarian, I used to love that Brocach had a decent selection of meatless options. Apparently after the remodel, that is not the case. The only menu items I had to chose from were a soup and some salads. While I was here on Saturday night with my boyfriend, I ordered the Power Bowl and he got a burger. We got cheese curds for an appetizer, which had too much breading and weren't anything special at all. When our food came, my boyfriend's fries were cold, and he said the burger was just okay. My dish was a bit of a disaster, though. It is described as baby kale, romaine, quinoa, sweet potato, red beets, red onion, and toasted almonds. I looked though my bowl and there was no quinoa in sight, nor did I see any almonds. Worse yet, I I saw maybe two leaves of kale.I ordered the power bowl specifically for the quinoa and kale so I wouldn't end up with just a salad, as I'm not the type of person to order a salad at a restaurant because it's not all that filling and just seems like a waste of money. Not only did I end up with a salad, but I ended up with cheap romaine lettuce and not even decent greens. I asked our waitress, and it was then that she informed me they were out of quinoa, rather than informing me when I ordered it, so I basically ended up with a dish not even close to what I ordered, considering 3 of the ingredients were missing. She did offer more sweet potato and beets, but that didn't much compensate at all. I assumed she would chop a few dollars off of our bill, but she still charged me full price for the dish that wasn't even the actual menu item I ordered. Definitely not a great experience.
