  • We went there after seeing Glendale Glitters, because this place was written up in Diners & Dives. It has a New York atmosphere to it so we were sure the food would be great. Which it was--however, Phoenix has many great pizza restaurants. The customer service is what separates the choices. After we paid and the change was brought, the server said " your change is $16, here are the bills, and did you want the 86 cents?" Both of our mouths were open because this was such a surprise question....if we knew, or were told the restaurant was collecting for a charity etc, it would not have been an odd question, but since it was, we asked her why she would ask, she told us that many people just want the bills back and not the coin......she said "if you want it I have it right here, and can get it", we said yes we wanted it..it took her awhile to bring it back, and when she did, it was in her cupped hands--she gave it to my friend who had to cup her hands also because at least half of the change was in pennies.............we had to laugh because this was just so odd.......since she seemed to want that 86 cents so much, we changed out her tip to include it..............................the food was very good, however, we will never go back because of the way the server ended our experience there....and look how we are sharing that experience (our change was 16.86, but she originally only brought the $16 in bills, not the 86 cents in change)
