rev:text	Yum Bakery is a vendor in the Calgary Farmers Market which is 510-77th AVE SE just south of Blackfoot. Alright, this review is solely on the macarons at Yum Bakery. They have many baked goods, bread, cakes, macarons, pies...etc. that look quite delicious. They have a nice display with cakes, bars and macarons that first caught my eye. I decided to get a 6 macarons to try because I've been craving them since I tried M for Macaron so I went with: Raspberry, Vanilla Cappucino, Pistacio, 2 salted caramel and peppermint chocolate. They also have other flavours like orange, oreo, coffee... The display probably changes but thats just what they offered the day I visited. I didn't eat the macarons immediately because I know they're best served when taken out of the fridge and sitting at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. After the market, on our drive back I decided to give one a try. I tried the salted caramel one. At first bite it was crumbly and hard. It seemed overbaked. I thought that was a fluke so later in the day I tried the pistacio one but same texture! Hard, chewy and crumbly. The filling just tasted like butter in all of them, no WOW factor for me. So pretty much after trying M for Macaron at the Kingsland Farmers Market, I thought Yum Bakery would measure up but it didn't at all. Macarons should taste like the flavor listed, have an airy fluffy tastful bite. BUT! like I said, this review is solely on macarons...I haven't tried the other goods but seeing the line they had, other things besides the macarons are probably much better!
