  • With all of the steak house's, Italian restaurants and seafood place the Las Vegas strip throws at you, why the hell did I pick a Mexican restaurant to have my one dinner in this town while I'm here on a "Pit Stop" trip? Simple! I've been on the road a month and I missed this cuisine terribly. Living in L.A. Mexican food is a staple for me and SoCal (other than Mexico) has the best! So here I am at Canonita salivating over their comprehensive menu wanting to order everything. I settle for the beef Mexico City style enchiladas with rice and beans. Good call on my part, this combo plate was delicious. Washing it all down with a Pacifico beer, I was a happy camper. The service and atmosphere at Canonita are terrific. I finished my dinner, hopped in a taxi, saw Hamiton (the musical) and put this evening down as one of my better ones this year.
