  • I have been coming here for two years and the food is consistently fantastic. I don't come that often, and it is a pleasant surprise each time how good the food and desserts are because the exterior is so unassuming. Favorite so far is the Smothered Chicken, the Meatloaf is good too. The brownie desert is a must-have for three reasons: 1) It tastes good, 2) the temperatures are perfect and 3) the presentation is fun. What does that mean "temperatures"? The brownie is comfortingly warm, the ice cream is ice cold and the raspberry sauce is cool. I've been to other places where the whole dessert is cold, probably because the whole thing is stored in the fridge - which makes the brownie cold, chewy, and sad. No sad food here! Food and dessert at Armadillo Grill and is a happy experience :)
