Came out here from Cleveland to see a screening of an independent documentary called Breaking Balls. The theater was nice and clean but poorly staffed. I decided against buying concessions because the popcorn looked stale (there wasn't even the smell of fresh popcorn in the air in the lobby) and the ice cream in the cooler behind the counter looked as if it had been there forever (it was covered in a thick layer of frost). It was dead for a Saturday afternoon matinee. I was shocked at how little promotional materials they had for current and upcoming films. Most theaters have a lot of stuff on the walls and practically everywhere, but not here. The walls are BARE. I will say the seats are extremely comfortable and it was nice having the auditorium to ourselves.
Take a small trip out to Pittsburgh and see what is going on out there.
