  • DO NOT PAY THEM IN CASH!! They will request in advance that you agree to pay them in cash. Do NOT agree to do this! This was a pre-move-in job. I really wanted to like this company. I loved that they use employees and no subs. We had just closed on a house and needed it cleaned so that we could move in. Our realtor recommended them -- but for the life of me I can't figure out why. They were absolutely horrible! They couldn't seem to follow even the simplest of instructions. I'd ask them to clean things 3 or 4 times and they still wouldn't get cleaned. If they did clean them, they'd do a pathetic half-arsed job. If I can ever figure out how to upload some photos, you'll get the idea. For example, after two crews showed up on two separate dates, and multiple requests to clean the laundry room, the laundry room was still a disaster. Nothing cleaned behind the washer and dryer (old newspaper left on dryer hose), and the walls were disgusting. Shelves were disgusting -- See the photo. After three attempts and two crews, they still couldn't seem to bother to wipe the grills on the microwave. When they did a door runner, they'd do one half and not the other -- and we were still wiping away spider webs from the valances. After two crews and multiple requests to clean the air vents, they did ONE air vent out of three; the other two vents were still grimy and untouched. Mostly they'd just wipe damp rags around on obvious surfaces and scrape things with razors. To their credit, they DID do a good job on the showers and bathrooms. And a gal from the second crew did a great job on SOME of the baseboards. Otherwise, they were worthless. When they were done, after they scammed us for $480 for a 2500 square foot house (no floors or refrigerator needed to be cleaned) -- my wife and I decided it would be easier to just clean it ourselves than keep trying to tell them what to do and micromanage them. We wouldn't have paid $150 for the horrible job they did. The gals did seem to work pretty hard (often at destroying things), but there was absolutely no focus. No communication from management, who seemed to disappear. If it wasn't so expensive, it would have been funny. Each crew of three gals was like having the Three Stooges show up to clean your house. They sent a second crew out after we complained about the first crew. Then they called me in the middle of shopping for tile while we had workmen working on parts of the house -- Lemon Fresh told me to hurry back immediately because "the gals were done and they needed me to check the work." I rushed out of Lowe's to get back to the house only to find it was pretty much a mess and most of what I'd requested (often multiple times) wasn't done. At that point I was sick of dealing with them and decided to send them home. ________________________ THEY DIDN'T EVEN START ON THE MAJOR ITEMS UNTIL 3 HOURS INTO WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 3 HOUR JOB! The estimator/supervisor, (Eliene a/k/a "Lee"), I spoke with was very nice and showed good communication skills when she came over to bid on the job. I made it quite clear that we would be painting upstairs and re-doing the floors throughout the house, so the cleaners were not to spend time cleaning upstairs walls or floors. They did anyway. FOR THREE HOURS!!! When receiving the bid/estimate, I had told Lee we mostly needed kitchen and bathroom cleaning and pointed out a few other areas of grime that we wanted done. Lee seemed to clearly understand. She said it would cost $225 and a maximum of $300 for 3 cleaners at $25 an hour. She also said she needed to be paid in cash, since they'd been ripped-off by checks from one-time-cleaning clients. I agreed to pay cash, provided they give me a receipt. Yes, I'm an idiot. So far, I haven't even received the receipt for the full amount, just for half what I paid, the $225 I was originally quoted. They just gave me a receipt for the quote, not what I actually paid. So I'll get to pay yet again come tax time. Lemon Fresh charged me six hours at $25/hour for three people for a total of $450 for what their supervisor/estimator bid as a 3-4 hour $225-$300 job! I actually feel sick about it. My wife is furious. $450 (plus tips) into what was supposed to be a $225-$300 cleaning job and they left it a mess.
