I've come once before for brunch and did not leave satisfied. Wanted to give the green owl another chance because it's one of the few places in Madison dedicated to vegetarian/vegan food. My visit was average.
Arrived at around 5 on a Tuesday and got seated immediately. They do have free wifi but I think they turn it off around dinner time--unsure about that.
I ordered the Buffalo wings and a side of the roasted potatoes. If you used to eat meat like me but no longer do, sometimes you may crave the taste of certain food you used to eat. For me, it's wings (more specially the Buffalo sauce). The wings are a decent fix for that craving, nothing out of this world but okay. It comes with 4 pieces, a side of ranch and some celery. The roasted potatoes were pretty disappointing. Just a bit chewy and not very flavorful. I ended up packing most of it to go.
The service was decent as well. It was nice to look at a menu and actually be able to eat everything on it, but I'm not too sure about how often I'll come back. I did want to try jackfruit in vegetarian food, so maybe I'll try that next time.
