The one in the Eaton Centre, right?
I avoid this store like the plague even though I often see things in the window that I like. The sales people are unbelievably pushy and I just can't bear this. I'm a very private shopper; I like to quietly browse and find a few things that I like and will fit me as I'm quite tall, and usually, I will just buy it and try it at home. I hate change rooms, lineups and sales people calling out 'How you doing in there, Hon?'
You really want to know how I'm doing? 'I'm still trying to figure out which freaking hole my head goes in, which is for my arms and is this actually a dress-- because it fits my tall frame like a blouse-- Dear.'
They always force you to come out and show them. I sheepishly open the door and they whisk me out in the middle of the store with my gitch on display for all to see.
'Um...I'd rather just take this off and try things on privately.'
The sales girl yanks the 'dress' down over my ass and clasps her hands in feigned glee.
'You look stunning!!'
No. I look like a hooker.
'You just have to understand the fashion. It's meant to be edgy and super hot.'
Thank you for insulting my fashion sense, and I'm pretty sure I'll look like I have crabs because I'll be pulling at the bottom of my dress all night to keep my bits from showing.
Of course everything she brings me looks 'stunning'. I do not feel 'stunning'. I feel like someone is going to ask 'How much?'-- and that is how I look. I wish sales people would start listening to their customers instead of lying to them just to make a sale. A woman can tell when she looks great, but just because some commission- brained sales person thinks I look hot, I'm not going to spend the cash.
And I'll also be quite happy not to have to model clothes in my skivvies. Completely humiliating.
