| - Just...dont. Whatever you are thinking about in performing business with this dealership just...dont. You've been warned. Ive had my bike serviced there since I bought it, and its been nothing but a nightmare. Heres the rundown: One service I drove the bike away, and didnt realize that they had left out the part where they are supposed to actually re-secure the fuel tank to the bike. I found that gem of information out when I hit a rather jarring bump and the fuel tank ended up in my lap. I excused it as a one off. Another service later they over-tightened the oil plug in the drain pan and stripped it. Ok, I understand poo poo happens and we all make mistakes...except the part where they let me drive it home without telling anyone and I come back out the next day to go to work and there is a cup of oil in my garage under the bike. I just figured they didnt tighten one so I get under there with a wrench and turn and turn and turn...and wtf...they stripped it. You know that point when you are tightening something down and you say "Whoops! I hope I didnt strip that!" Well any mechanic that graduated high school knows thats exactly when you stripped it. And you FIX IT!!! Cost me $100 in fuel driving my truck that week while we waited for a new oil pan to arrive. "Dont worry", Im told, " they'll take care of me" next time Im in. Ok...so pan comes in and Im picking it up to start my work week again. I drive it from their shop to work 50 miles away. Get to work, and I notice oil all down the side of my bike, all over my left side and saddle bags. They over-filled it, or screwed something up on the oil pan install. Im on the phone, livid now with such a rookie mistake. Costs me another $100 in fuel to drive my truck to work all week, ON TOP OF my wife having to drive all the way down to my work on that morning to bring me my truck and the trailer. "Dont worry" they says,"We'll take care of you". Pick up the bike a week later, drive it around a bit, and its still pissing oil down the left side of the bike. I cant afford not to drive it now. Oddly enough, 2 weeks later, my bike's battery shorts out. So I call them and schedule an appt for the bike for this new electrical problem (I didnt know it was the battery yet) and to STILL address the oil coming out and down the left side. I tell them I want not only this oil service comped (which they promised me when they stripped out the nut), but I would also like this electrical problem comped. Longer story short, I pick up the bike, they dont charge me for the oil change, but DO charge me for a new battery. So not only is their service below par, so is their word. And guess what?...the bike still spits oil down the left side of the bike. Anyone know of a small personal shop that does quality work up near Peoria? Because this place sure isnt it.
UPDATE: So I hear of this place down in Chandler that does good honest work. I took my bike to them, and the guy that comes outside takes one look at my bike after I describe my trials and tribulations with Ridenow, and he immediately tells me that they pinched the valve cover gasket when they last did my valves. Rookie mistake he says. Im never going back to Ridenow, and Ive found my new shop.
