The food was absolutely delicious! My parents and I had the vindaloo wings as an appetizer and I loved them! Probably because I don't like traditional hot wings to begin with but the spices were spot on! Hot as hell (temperature wise) so it was easy to trust they were fresh. We each had a different pasty: salmon, carne adovada and portobello chicken. They were all scrumptious and each had such a unique flavor. The seasoning on everything was perfect and the dough was nice and flaky. I'd say the portions are perfect as well, I would have been content with the first half but it was too good not to eat the whole pie! I also got the sticky toffee pudding. That was the first time I had it and it was pretty damn good too! It came in a mini cast iron pot with ice cream on the side. You could really taste the toffee glaze that was soaked into the pudding.
The only con I have is the service. Not that I wanted my dad to say anything but he told our waitress it was my birthday and she barely even batted an eye. The service was super slow and our waitress was not very attentive. We were there for over 2 hours and it took a while to just get every single thing we ordered from our drinks, appetizer, entrees and dessert. We waited at least 40 minutes before our entree and another 20 minutes for dessert. She didn't check in often and my glass was empty (I had ordered wine) for 15 minutes before she asked if I wanted another one. We sat at one of the community tables where 2 guys sat on the other end after finishing our appetizer and they had gotten their drinks/entrees at the same rate we were in the middle of eating ours. How did they get their stuff so much sooner than we did when they only had 1 less person in their party? I haven't a clue especially when the restaurant wasn't full.
Anyway, I would definitely go back for the food. The service has a lot of room for improvement.
