  • OK OK, I was totally making fun of Butterfly Wonderland. It was near my hotel, and I kept passing it by on my way to do other stuff. "A butterfly exhibit? How boring" I said to myself. However, after checking out of the hotel, I found myself with several hours to kill before I needed to get to the airport, and as a joke, decided to check this place out. Omg...it's worth it. You start off with a movie about monarch butterflies which was pretty informative, if a little dull. Then you're in a room where you can see cocoons, and that was neat. BUT, then you're let into a large greenhouse that is filled with butterflies and it's really quite impressive. There are a lot of varieties --- enough that you're constantly discovering a new one. And the plants and walkway is laid out so that you can get up close and personal with these butterflies. Surprisingly, I burned through 2 hours here! Very unexpected and a fun little way to kill some time.
