| - My family and I have been loyal customers of Rigatony's since our move to Chandler in 2001. We have taken our family and friends, and have recommended this restaurant many times over the years. My brother and family are currently visiting from New York State and wanted to go for Italian, so we immediately suggested Rigatonys. Our salad and bread were delicious as usual, but we were extremely disappointed by the entrees served. Our table ordered 2 chicken Parmesan, 2 chicken Marsala, and 1 chicken piccata entree. The chicken on every plate was dry, hard and difficult to cut with a knife, let alone chew! Rigatony's historically has pounded the veal/chicken into nice, thin pieces, but these pieces were thick, tough, and chewy. The Marsala sauce was syrupy sweet, without a hint of Marsala wine flavor. The piccata sauce had no lemon taste whatsoever, and the pasta was mushy and overcooked. Even the marinara sauce for the Parmesan had a sweet taste to it, very unlike the rich red sauce we had come to love at Rigatony's. We were embarrassed that we told our guests this was a destination for good Italian food.
Whatever changes have been made in the kitchen, please- change it back!
